About this Role

The HR Generalist has, as its primary responsibility, running the daily functions of the Human Resource department and the long-term success of Flare Construction, LLC.  The position reports to the HR Manager and is directly responsible general HR duties with a focus on recruiting and onboarding to support the Company's projects, operations, management, and office.  The position works jointly with the operations and management in supporting HR functions.  HR Generalist duties shall be in compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies.

What You'll Do

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Includes sourcing, screening, interviewing and scheduling interviews for hiring team, establishing and maintaining relationships internally and externally, candidate tracking and communications.  Participating in career fairs and similar other opportunities.
  • Onboarding, including scheduling, working with new hires to complete onboarding tasks and trainings, reviewing and tracking legal documents for hiring compliance.
  • Developing effective processes for recruiting, onboarding, and training to avoid jobsite delays or disruptions.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, legal/compliance training or other training.
  • Performing routine tasks required to administer and support human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; supporting performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; training and development.
  • Managing and collaborating in the development, operations, and financial aspects of the organization's recruiting, onboarding, generalist functions.
  • Serving as a point of contact to employees on day-to-day HR-related questions. Inquiries could include questions regarding payroll, benefits, and general employee-related matters.
  • Handling employment-related inquiries from job seekers, applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Escalating sensitive and complex issues to HR leadership or the President.
  • Managing and assisting in the smooth and efficient flow of information through the office, HR and in all other departments.
  • Managing data and ensuring accurate employee records are maintained securely.
  • Special projects - May participate in HR-related projects and initiatives.
  • General administrative functions as they relate to recruiting and HR including supporting HR functions and projects.
  • Supporting analysis of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the Company.
  • Working collaboratively with other managers and other departments to support their efforts in accomplishing Company goals.
  • Directing and measuring progress to make changes to increase efficiency.
  • Supporting HR Manager duties as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Abilities

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional-level HR position.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience using an ATS and job boards such as Indeed and ZipRecruiter.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional interpersonal ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
  • Ability to reliably commute to office location.
