Department Overview


The PIC Desk sits within Raymond James Global Wealth Solutions and provides sophisticated institutional clients access to an extensive range of private investment opportunities across asset classes such as venture capital, private equity, real estate, etc.



Job Summary


PIC is seeking a summer associate to support the desks distribution, originations and operations functions. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for the financial markets to join our team for a full-time summer internship.



Being a summer associate on the PIC Desk will give you hands-on experience, valuable networking opportunities, as well as the chance to learn from experts in the wealth management and financial services industries. Our summer associates are deeply involved in all aspects of PICs business - from origination of investment opportunities through the distribution process, as well as internal operations. We value the contributions made by our summer associates to the team and work closely with them to identify areas for their further career development.



The summer associate position is a temporary role.



Start Date: Monday, June 2, 2025


End Date: Friday, August 8, 2025


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist with special research projects

  • Prepare reports and analysis used in management presentations and other reporting materials.

  • Update private investments deal blotter to track all sales (present and historical)

  • Assist in tracking revenues and generating invoices for any monies owed by sponsors or other parties

  • Interacts daily on the phone and in person with financial advisors to facilitate the investment process, answer technical questions, or other questions about PIC.

  • Prepare letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing financial advisors and clients consummating transactions.

  • Create and maintain records and files necessary for the operation of the business.

  • Assists team members with marketing efforts including presentations, advisor/client launch emails, webinars, etc.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

  • Financial markets and products.

  • MS Office suite of products, including Excel and Access

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements


  • Sophomore standing (May 2027 graduates) pursuing a bachelor%26rsquos degree in business, finance, or related field. 

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
