Department Overview


The Raymond James Structured Investments Group provides a leading platform of market-linked notes and CDs to the firms financial advisors and clients. The Structured Investments Group works with global banks to design, structure, and distribute these investments providing full product lifecycle support and ongoing advisor education. This role will be supporting the platform across all major functional groups including trading and operations, product origination, and product support and advisor sales.



Job Summary


The Structured Investments Group is seeking a summer associate to support the platform. The team works with issuing banks to create a leading platform of offerings and interacts with advisors and clients who utilize the platform. Qualified candidates should have financial services industry experience (internship, student investment club, or demonstrated interest in markets).


A role with the Structured Investments Group will give you hands-on experience, valuable networking opportunities, as well as the chance to learn from experts in the wealth management and financial services industries.


Summer associates will be involved in and assist all aspects of the platform including product origination, trading and operations, and product support and sales. The Group values contributions made by those in this role and works closely with them to identify areas for further career development.



The summer associate position is a temporary role.



Start Date: Monday, June 2, 2025


End Date: Friday, August 8, 2025


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.





Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist with operational processes including suitability, trading, setup, and other administrative duties.

  • Assist team members with projects in support of the platform.

  • Engage financial advisors, external partners, and other Raymond James home office departments to support the platform.

  • Work with management and business consultants across various functions to improve future business processes.

  • Evaluate opportunities to create efficiencies.

  • Assist with complex research and investigation; may prepare analyses of information.

  • Assist team members with marketing and sales efforts including presentations, advisor/client launch emails, webinars, sales support, etc.

  • Assist with data review and analysis.

  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.

  • Financial markets and products.

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements


  • Freshman or sophomore standing (May 2027-May 2028 graduates) pursuing a bachelor%26rsquos degree in business, finance, or related field. 

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
