SumRidge currently ranks among the top liquidity providers for $2mm and under trading on most major electronic bond exchanges, leveraging the firms technological strengths and an experienced sales and trading team.

Summer Associate Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities include assisting the sales and trading professionals with research, marketing, sales development, trade operations, and other tasks associated with the trading and sales desk.


Interns will gain in-depth knowledge of the fixed income markets, trade execution and operations, fixed income securities (corporate and municipals), financial sales development and expansion skills and tools, and extensive knowledge about the fundamentals of the credit markets. Interns will work closely with the trading desk and learn all the roles of the sales and trading team. In addition, we will consider sponsoring qualified candidates interested in the opportunity to study for and take the General Securities Registered Representative License Exam (Series 7). Interns will be compensated at competitive rates to be determined based on an individual basis.



The summer associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.



This is a temporary role.



Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.


Start Date: June 2, 2025


End Date: August 8, 2025

  • Specified projects and varied assignments.

  • Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.

  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of

  • Financial markets with strong analytical and communication skillset

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.


  • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.


Skill in

  • Quantitative problem solving using programmatic approaches (i.e. R, Python, Excel) is preferred

  • Operating standard office equipment and using, or having the ability to learn, required software applications.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual/hybrid team.

Ability to

  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor%26rsquos or master%26rsquos degree in finance, business, or related majors

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
