This position will follow our hybrid work model; we expect the selected candidate to work 3 days a week at our Saint Petersburg, FL corporate office.

Job Summary:


As an Advisory Consultant within AMS, you will operate under general direction and utilize specialized knowledge and skills gained through education and experience. Your role involves analyzing portfolio analytics, asset allocation, and investment holdings within client portfolios and making appropriate recommendations when necessary. You will consult with financial advisors to build strong relationships and gain an understanding of their practices, which will allow you to tailor investment management solutions for their FA-managed portfolios, including providing education and promoting the adoption of firm technology. Additionally, you will develop tactical plans and work independently on complex assignments that are broad in scope, allowing for some latitude in decision-making without needing review.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses analytical tools, software, and methodologies to research investment products, asset allocation, and comparative analysis of portfolios.
  • Educate advisors on portfolio management and the proprietary technology available to support their practice.
  • Proactively contact financial advisors to discuss available resources related to investment management.
  • Maintain market and specific knowledge of the AMS products and platforms.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, such as developing advisor resources, evaluating existing processes, and creating management reporting.
  • Assist with research and analytics used in white papers for financial advisor or client use.
  • Maintain specific knowledge of investment research and portfolio construction-related topics across the firm and external partners.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Knowledge of:

  • Principles of banking, finance, and securities industry operations.
  • Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of the securities industry and asset management products.
  • Principals of finance and broker/dealer operations.
  • Financial markets and products.
  • Portfolio construction, portfolio management, and practice management-related topics.


Skill in:

  • Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
  • Organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, convincing, and professional presentations to small and large audiences.
  • Problem-solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research, and resolve inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Analyzing business processes and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

  • Absorb and effectively communicate knowledge on complex investment offerings.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage tasks and projects to complete work efficiently.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor%26rsquos Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of financial services industry experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Series 7 and 66 licenses are required within one (1) year of hire.
