General Summary:

We are looking for an engineer to scale a cutting-edge AI device lab to support Qualcomm AI technologies in a fast-paced, high-visibility team. This is an on-site role (5 days on-site) with hands on management of lab hardware and includes software development for automating processes and creation of APIs to interact with the devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Sysadmin of the device farm and x86 hosts which communicate with the devices, in device lab setting
  • Develop Python automation tooling and infrastructure in support of the ML projects
  • Supports local ML teams by troubleshooting system issues and coordinating cross-site infrastructure efforts.
  • Coordinates with local IT team and project to ensure infrastructure redundancy and uptime in support of the project development team
  • Plan, project, coordinate, and deliver forward-looking server farm upgrades as new ML hardware cycles are taped out

Preferred skills:

  • Python software development of automation infrastructure
  • Linux system administration
  • Docker, Git, Jenkins, NFS, GitHub CI, Splunk, SQL
  • Server sysadmin in support of local teams

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience as an MLOps/DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with industry standard CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
  • Proficient in Python programming and automated testing
  • Sysadmin experience within a device farm setting (physical device management)
  • Advanced-level skills in Linux system administration, Docker, Git, Jenkins, NFS
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team spanning several time zones

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$115,600.00 - $173,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
