Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an accomplished AIX Administrator to provide expertise in managing and optimizing assets for our federal client's critical operations. As an AIX Admin, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AIX infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the stability and security of our AIX environment.   

Clearance: Secret

Location: Annapolis Junction

Responsibilities of the AIX Administrator:

• Administer and maintain the AIX-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management 
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure performance and reliability 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams when necessary, and maintain security measures to protect servers and infrastructure 

 Qualifications of the AIX Administrator:

• Active Secret clearance required
• At least 7 years of experience in the related field 
• As much AIX Administration experience as possible
• This is an on-site position at a government facility.
• Requires presence on-site five days per week in Annapolis 
• Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.

Compensation of the AIX Administrator:

• Total compensation based on experience level - $80,000-135,000 - Long-term Contract
• Full Benefits: PTO, Sick leave as required by law, 11 Paid Holidays, Cigna Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k with ADP
• Long-term, W2 contract
