As an Analyst of Work Forward Taxation you will support the Payroll processing activities relating to Work Forward Taxation. You will perform analytical audits of the Payroll Tax reports to ensure both aspects of timeliness and accuracy are achieved in processing all employee payments. 

This position will serve as the subject matter expert for the processes they support, having a complete understanding of how this process integrates with the overall end-to-end payroll processing. 

  • Performing detailed verification, review and preparation of payroll tax updates as required from daily tax and travel reports and/or manual updates. Defined processing timeline schedules must be achieved to ensure the timely and accurate recording of all employee transactions. 

  • Supporting all customer service channel activities, including cases, and ensuring regular updates are maintained as it relates to processes, changes and/or announcements to assist in maintaining up-to-date information available to both employees and staff. 

  • Assisting with tax setups for remote and travel employees. Review state & local taxes associated with remote addresses and work with the HR team to have employee's HR/Tax file updated.  

  • Identifying the need for special ad-hoc queries to assist in completing appropriateness review of fluctuation deviations from standard processing flow or expected results. 

  • Assisting with remediation recommendations. Assist with any compliance issues raised or identified through remediation.

  • Collaborating with Tax team members to ensure documentation of Payroll Tax DTPs (Desktop Procedures) are maintained and updated, as necessary. 

  • Participating in ad-hoc projects and process improvements for the department, as needed.

You have a strong sense of urgency and don’t wait for things to happen – you are proactive and tackle tasks head-on. You have experience managing large work volumes, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt easily to change. You’re an excellent communicator, and use your strong quantitative, organizational, and analytical skills to guide your work. You’re comfortable interacting with peers in various departments to resolve complex issues. 

You'll need to have:

  • One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • Experience with Payroll Tax/Multi-state.

  • Telecommunicating Taxation experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel. 

  • Experience in Customer Service/HRMS/Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.

Even better if you have:

  • Understanding of the end-to-end Payroll functional processes as well as how the Payroll functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end Payroll Tax processes.

  • Experience in Customer Service/HRMS/Payroll Processing/Timekeeping system applications.

  • Experience with 3rd party tax applications, i.e. ADP, CIC+.

  • Strong customer service skills (both verbal and written).

  • Good organizational, time management and communication skills.

  • Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, and a solid focus on results.

  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.

  • Willingness for flexible scheduling to meet processing demands.

  • HCM PeopleSoft and Workday experience preferred. 

  • CPP or FPC preferred.
