Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role-
•We are looking for the Benefits Lead to manage PayPal presence in select MEA & APAC countries, also encompassing region wide responsibility in a benefits workstream such as financial management, risk, comms, branding, etc.
•Incumbent professional must possess experience in benefits design and delivery, benefits program management, can be flexible and navigate multiple priorities, is well organized, and can engage with diverse stakeholders.
•Experience in market entry and benefits build projects in newer geographies will be valuable.
•Partnering with regional and country stakeholders, this role manages the full scope of country benefits including health, retirement, life, accident, disability, wellness, and ancillary programs.
•This position will report to the Regional Benefits Director.

Job Description:

Your way to impact-

  • Review benefits trends and advise management on the state of benefits for the countries in scope, demonstrating an understanding of the market dynamics, key competitor benefit plan design, and industry trends.
  • Partner with the compensation team to drive a comprehensive understanding of the competitive position of all C&B programs.

Your day to day-

  • Manage day to day administration and compliance of programs, through internal and vendor partner relationships. Engage as a strategic partner to the business and HR stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including monitoring of cost, service levels, processes, and accuracy of data. Lead negotiations with providers including governance, contract compliance, issues management, communications, etc.
  • Understand current and emerging market trends, identify potential opportunities and gaps, leverage external best practices and design benefit initiatives that are aligned to our leadership principles and corporate values, yet provide local customization to account for cultural differences.
  • Ensure benefit proposals balance PayPal values alignment, affordability, competitiveness, business objectives, and meet all legal requirements. Partner with stakeholders and consultants to ensure benefits and wellness offerings are relevant, flexible, cost-effective, and competitive with local practices and aligned with business and talent strategies.
  • Own benefits financial management, supplier relationships, and underlying third party process management.
  • Role may also encompass region wide responsibility in a benefits workstream such as benefits financial management, risk & compliance, benefits governance, comms & branding, wellness, time off and leaves management, etc.

What do you need to bring-

  • Master’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or other related areas
  • Robust benefits delivery experience (7+ years) in a complex, fast-paced, large global public company environment
  • Hands-on experience in managing benefits in the Middle East & African countries will be an added plus
  • Experience managing ambiguity and risk (taking the unknown into action)
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Vendor management and budget management experience
  • Strong project management, process execution, innovation, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Deep commitment to excellent customer service, empathy, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated business and HR acumen
  • Flexibility, resiliency, speed, and grace under pressure
