The Hybrid Compute Initiative (HCI) Program Management Office (PMO) provides secure, scalable commercial cloud technologies and services across the global cryptologic enterprise. The Engineer shall deliver and provision secure hosting environments within a commercial cloud fabric in direct support of NSA missions, in a manner that enables enterprise-wide scaling for a diverse set of end users. The Engineer shall provide technical expertise to engineer, configure, test, install, integrate, operate, secure, monitor, maintain, sustain, perform configuration management, and manage the NSA’s instances of commercial Cloud Service Provider solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks that span across network fabrics to perform commercial cloud support, customer help desk functions, software integration and migration, integration and testing, documentation development and maintenance, security, network and system monitoring, and configuration and release management.

  • Provide technical experience and knowledge of peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, peer-to-peer routing, and application messaging frameworks.

  • Provision and sustain network infrastructures.

  • Develop, operate, and manage networks required to operate in a secure Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and/or Virtual Private Network (VPN) enabled environment Evaluate and integrate emerging cyber security technologies for production uses such as Domain Naming Service (DNS), routing, load balancers, data flow technologies, audit capturing tools and techniques, Host-Based Intrusion Detection System (HIDS), Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS), Anti-Virus scanning, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge to troubleshoot network-related support cases.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management/knowledge Focus more on Guidance than hands-on development.

  • Will maintain cloud policy and implementation (will work closely with Y6) Configure VPCs

Education:

  • High School + 10 years minimum experience; OR Associates degree in a technical field + 8 years minimum experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in a technical field + 6 years minimum experience; OR Master’s degree in a technical field + 4 years of experience; OR Doctorate’s degree in a technical field + 2 years minimum experience

Desired:

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
