Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Army Software Requirements Engineer to support the Army Futures Command, Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) in assessing threats and future operational environments, developing future concepts, requirements, and an integrated modernization pathway to increase lethality and overmatch. This position is located on-site in Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) in assessing threats and future operational environments.
- Assist in developing future concepts, requirements, and an integrated modernization pathway to increase lethality and overmatch.
- Support the design, development, and fielding of a Multi-Domain Operations (MDO)-capable Army by 2028 and beyond.
- Analyze and integrate concepts and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) solutions.
- Synchronize materiel solution resources to support the capability development community in achieving Army 2030 and Army 2040 goals.
- Provide oversight and coaching for FCC’s agile software requirement efforts in support of all FID Functional Divisions (FDs) and Capability Development and Integration Directorates (CDIDs).
- Oversee the implementation and execution of agile software requirements captured in all Army capability development documents being validated in FID.
- Coach and assist FID Capability Developers in analysis and integration during agile software capability development activities.
- Lead and support the processing of materiel solution software requirement documents in obtaining Army – Capabilities Integration Development System (A-CIDS) validation and approval.
- Attend meetings that require an agile software development perspective and collaborate with Product Owners (CDIDs, ACMs, APO, CFT), AFC Modernization Integrators, and HQDA G8 portfolio managers.
- Lead work groups; prepare and present briefing products; provide executive summaries (EXSUMS) and significant activities (SIGACTS); track status of assigned actions; and keep stakeholders and leadership informed.
- Advise, manage, and coordinate CDID Entry Gate package submissions for entry into FCC/AFC senior leader decision forums for Army staffing of draft requirement document packages for materiel solutions.
- Attend all AROC forums (AWG, ARB, ACB, AROC) that address software development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
- A minimum of ten years' experience serving in the U.S. Army/defense agency as a military member or civilian, or experience serving within a government organization in progressively responsible staff positions.
- Proven DevSecOps experience and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, and Lean.
- Knowledge of how Agile Toolsets work, how Scrum is done, and standard Scrum ceremonies.
- Active Secret clearance.
- US citizenship.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $130,000 - $145,000 (based on years of experience and other factors).
