YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an Associate or Vice President to join our GSAM Japan Third Party Wealth sales team covering a focused list of firms within Japan. Our ideal candidate has successful financial sales experience and strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex products and views in a concise manner. This role will also require significant collaboration with Internal Partners to accelerate sales of Mutual Funds, ETF’s, SMA’s and Private Alternatives.

CSG provides investment solutions across all major asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities, and alternatives) and products including mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts and alternative investments.

GSAM, Japan Third Party Wealth Sales

Based in Tokyo, the individual will be joining the Japan Third Party Wealth Client Business Team with a focus on broadening and deepening relationships in the retail distribution space.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Business engagement with product gatekeepers, IC and RMs of our existing and prospective clients in Japan
  • External sales role calling on focused list of firms in the territory.
  • Responsible for marketing Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) products within the retail and wealth channel including Mutual Funds, ETF’s, SMA’s and Private Alternatives. 
  • Role requires the ability to position Goldman Sachs’ value proposition as well as investment philosophy, process, product differentiation and competitive analyses in group presentations, public seminars and one-on-one presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Native level communication in Japanese to ensure fluid communication with domestic distributors
  • 5+ years of financial services sales experience preferably in asset management products
  • Ability to work with Internal Partners to help Drive Sales in ETF’s, Alternatives and Retirement Business
  • Ability to maintain consistent travel schedule
  • Ability to manage administrative aspects of job effectively (call reports, expense reports, etc.)
