The Capital Markets team is a part of the broader ETF Specialist group, which is primarily responsible for driving asset growth in GSAM ETFs. The Capital Markets team is specifically accountable for secondary markets trading oversight, overseeing all aspects of the ecosystem required to deliver robust market quality and a positive trading experience for our clients. This individual will work closely with product development, portfolio management, and distribution, playing a key role in the execution of the overall ETF strategy. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Oversee all aspects of ETF market quality, including monitoring of trading spreads, trading volumes and volatility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem partners - Market Makers, Authorized Participants, and Exchanges. 
  • Increase visibility of GSAM ETFs throughout the ETF ecosystem.
  • Assist with industry analysis of ETF market trends, flows, pricing, and performance.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders on new ETF launches, helping to provision primary listing exchanges, lead market makers, and seed capital.  
  • Act as a point of contact for trading and liquidity related queries from internal stakeholders and clients directly.
  • Interact with financial advisors and institutions on implementation process, build relationships with custodial trading desks and sell side partners to help guide best practices for trading ETFs. 
  • Work with marketing on creating trading-related thought leadership 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years of experience in a markets-focsed role, preferably client-facing 
  • Fixed Income and or derivatives experience a plus
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong technical skills required, with the ability to handle working with large data sets
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with flexibility and a high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and work independently
  • Highly organized with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to present one-on-one and in large group settings

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
