Job Description

GSAM Fixed Income is seeking a professional with experience in Fixed Income to join the Securitized Investment Team. 

At GSAM, we manage over $72bn in Securitized assets across the global fixed income platform, with over $40bn in Agency MBS assets.

We are seeking an analyst to join our team and work with the Securitized Investment Team and the broader FI platform to deliver best in class performance to our clients in Agency MBS. 

The successful candidate will bring a background in Fixed Income, where experience analyzing, trading and taking risk in Agency MBS is an advantage but not a pre-requisite. The candidate should evidence the ability to excel in a team environment, have strong communication skills, and be highly analytical.

Asset Management, Fixed Income, Agency Mortgage Backed Securities, Jr. PM/Trader – Analyst (New York)

Key Responsibilities:

• Working within the portfolio management team to identify and implement security selection and relative value opportunities
• Working with client portfolio managers to monitor risk in portfolios
• Developing and maintaining sell-side trading relationships 
• Recommending, allocating, and executing trades 
• Maintaining and improving various trading tools and the accuracy of the data they employ

Experience/Skills:

• 0.5-3+ years of experience within fixed income, either on the sell-side or buy-side
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required. CFA study is preferred
• An understanding of markets and a keen interest in fixed income and securitized products 
• Must possess quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as thrive within a fast-paced team environment
• Significant experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Asset management experience an advantage but not essential

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
