Your Impact:

 As Vice President, Controls Monitoring and Testing Team Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our operational risk strategy. Your leadership will fortify our first line of defense by innovating and enhancing our controls testing and monitoring frameworks. By leveraging your expertise in risk management and regulatory compliance, you will ensure that our controls not only meet but exceed industry standards. Your strategic direction will drive operational excellence, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to the overall resilience and success of our organization. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to take on the role of Vice President, Controls Monitoring and Testing Team Lead. In this senior role, you will be responsible for driving our Controls Testing & Operational Risk strategy, focusing on strengthening our first line of defense through effective control design, monitoring, and testing. You will lead a team of professionals, ensuring that our operations align with both global and local regulatory requirements. Your ability to innovate and lead will be crucial in driving operational excellence and mitigating risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee and lead the Controls Monitoring and Testing team, providing strategic direction to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Control Design: Develop and implement robust control frameworks that are adaptable to evolving regulatory landscapes, ensuring that all controls are effectively designed and tested.
  • Operational Risk Management: Drive the continuous improvement of control testing strategies, emphasizing proactive risk identification, mitigation, and long-term remediation measures.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive risk management strategies and operational effectiveness.
  • Incident Response: Lead investigations into operational incidents, determining root causes, and designing preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all control testing processes meet both global and local regulatory standards, with a strong focus on compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in risk management, controls testing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CISA) preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and a strong understanding of control design methodologies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of consumer regulatory requirements, with demonstrated experience in operational compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
