OPERATIONS

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted function that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

The Asset and Wealth Management Division (AWM) team is seeking a Vice President to join the Vendor Management organization offering dedicated support for the high growth investing business within AWM. This is an exceptionally diverse role that entails collaboration and interface with all AM Alts businesses, third party vendors and consultants, and Engineering, Legal, Controllers, Credit, Tax, Compliance Teams.

OUR IMPACT 

The Vendor Management team members are responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support in the on-boarding, diligence, oversight, expense management and invoice approval of third-party vendors, consultants, advisors, and partners which is critical to support the AM Alts business execution, growth, and risk management. 

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful individual will be expected to work in a team of professionals and be able to be commercial, critical & creative whilst ensuring the highest level of risk management. 

  • Develop strong understanding of the firm’s vendor program and ability to utilize various vendor-related systems
  • Develop an understanding of the wide array of businesses with AM Alts
  • Create and maintain detailed tracking tools
  • Exhibit strong communications skills, inclusive of tailoring messaging effectively to variety of both internal and external audiences
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and comfort manipulating numbers
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the firm to progress process and risk management initiatives and uplifts
  • Exhibit strong responsiveness
  • Develop comfort with management, validation and allocation of vendor expenses
  • Face off with senior stakeholders and drive priorities
  • Exhibit excellent judgement & problem-solving skills

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience in financial services, preferably in a relevant role
  • Proven problem-solving ability and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
