PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

• Core member of Regional Management Team located in Hong Kong with primary focus on regulatory, legal and compliance related matters. 
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance and relevant stakeholders on policies and procedures development and implementation, handling of exceptions to policies and standard process, as well as driving business initiatives 
• Managing the interpretation and application of various regulatory requirements from business perspective and providing pragmatic solutions to compliance or control issues
• Drive policy implementation arising from new regulations or changes of rules 
• Liaise with regulators on regulatory exams/ investigations/ surveys and requests 
• Managing and handling of complaints, errors and incidents 

Skills/Experience

• Chinese language skill is required 
• Self-starter who takes ownership and can lead/manage projects independently
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships; confidence to work closely with senior management
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and presentation skills
• Highly organized and process oriented with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
• Results-oriented: ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, handling multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered
• Good judgment and discretion, with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and care
• Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
• Teamwork orientation
