Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
General Summary:
We are looking for senior software engineer to develop Linux platform drivers and system for Qualcomm automotive IVI/ADAS products.
Responsibilities
- Bring up Linux and Android GVM based on Qualcomm hypervisor for automotive platform.
- Develop virtio drivers and pass through drivers for common virtual platform.
- Guide unit test design for auto ASPICE features.
- Triage and analyze functional and stability issues of GVMs in release cycle.
- Work with CE team to response and resolve customer requirements.
- Be able to join remote debug sessions and work together with global tech teams.
Skills/Experiences:
- Familiar with multiprocessor architecture, ARM processors, caching, interrupts, etc.
- Experienced in Linux kernel architecture and driver development, such as signals, priorities, deadlocks, stacks, interrupt, memory management, scheduler, synchronization methods, etc.
- Experienced in Linux kernel and driver design and development. Be familiar with unit testing framework and unit test developing.
- Proficient C, C++ programming with 3+ years development experience in Linux kernel and device drivers.
- Be good at resolving system stability problems, writing design documents and communicating ideas.
- Familiar with various debugging utilities and methods.
- Experienced with ASPICE is a plus
- Well organized, great communication and reporting skills
- English communication capability able to work with colleagues around the world smoothly.
- Faster learner; able to grasp concepts with only basic training and the initiative to ask questions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS in CS/EE with 3+ years’ experience (or BS with 5+ years) in embedded Linux software development
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
