Your Impact

As a Business Process Engineering Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Marcus organization can continue to operate in the face of disruptions, crises, and other adverse conditions. This role involves assessing and enhancing the operational resilience framework across Marcus organization. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to identify critical business functions, develop or refine contingency plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to operational resilience.

What you can expect in a Business Process Engineering Analyst role:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the operational resilience framework by identifying and documenting critical business services and map dependencies across technology, processes, people, and third-party vendors.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to business continuity and resilience, including technological, operational, and external risks.
  • Analyze the impact of different disruption scenarios on critical business functions.
  • Develop, review, and update incident response plans and business continuity plans (BCPs) to ensure readiness for various disruption scenarios.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and resilience testing (e.g., scenario exercises, stress tests).
  • Lead and deliver executive reporting and other data-driven deliverables, with a focus on providing appropriate content, context, and structure in a precise and timely manner 
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) related to operational resilience and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of resilience initiatives and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure a consistent approach to operational resilience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business, Finance, Information Security, or a related field
  • Experience with consumer banking and financial services
  • Familiarity in risk assessment methodologies, business impact analysis, and incident management processes.
  • Understanding of Business Process Continuity methodologies and basic requirements
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to leverage statistical analysis and/or generation of basic KPIs
  • Comfortable presenting to large stakeholder groups and driving meetings
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal partners with different levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and take ownership of various parts of an initiative while still following proper chain of command, and effectively working in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Continuity, Information Security, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in operational resilience, risk management, business continuity, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel(Pivot tables), PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of process risk components, specifically regulatory and/or operational risk
