Your Impact 

The Analyst Designer will help ship best-in-class products for our direct-to-consumer deposits business. You seek out ambitious and talented designers to partner with and hone your skills to ship products with our product managers and engineers, while focusing on skill-building, pushing the boundaries of design, collaboration and growth. As a designer, you will understand the needs of customers and reframe them into delightful experiences, with a keen attention to detail and insatiable curiosity. You aren’t afraid to dig into the details, ask questions, and experiment until you can bring a solution to life.

Job Summary

Marcus by Goldman Sachs is digital banking platform that connects consumers with financial products and tools that benefit from Goldman Sachs’ history of financial expertise.  We have an exciting opportunity for the right designer to execute product design across our mobile and web experiences. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with key teams across the business including Engineering, Product Management, and Legal/Compliance to solve end-user problems and ensure we are maintaining a world-class experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Support design for end-to-end user experience designs and support design across strategic initiatives for the direct to consumer deposits business
• Design flows, sketches, prototypes, and drive the implementation of designs while leveraging a centralized design system
• Manage end user needs and expectations through the creation of journeys and concept diagrams
• Partner with cross-functional teams to socialize and deliver high-fidelity prototypes, and design presentations
• Partner with engineering to build, spec, and manage final design files for implementation
• Validate designs through testing and research to gauge interface intuitiveness and usability
• Experience in applying human-centered principles to design solutions
• A portfolio of case studies that address business problems strategically
• Experience in advocating for design with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions
• Experience applying analytics and research findings to design solutions
• Exceptional visual design, prototyping, and interaction design skills
• Nice to have: Experience with banking/finance or a regulated environment

Skills & Experience

• At least 1+ years of professional experience designing digital products
• Ability to facilitate design strategy while executing in high-fidelity
