What you’ll be doing...

Certification Engineer to drive all device certification and regulation activities related to automotive electronics. Vehicle Telemetry, Camera and GPS tracking units.​



What we’re looking for...

  • Drive product design for compliance with North America, EMEA and APAC regulations. 

  • Ensure product adherence to E-Mark electrical/electronic sub-assembly with regard to Regulation No.10., LVD, Wireless standards (e.g., FCC Part 15), and various global wireless regulations such as the RED Directive and IC.

  • Work with laboratories to provide Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Testing, CITA Accreditation for OTA performance testing, PTCRB & Verizon approvals, as well as specific approvals and certifications for the EU, UK, US & Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

  • Translate new product and customer requirements into comprehensive test requirements.

  • Review Certification Reports.

  • Guide other teams to comply with approval agency requirements.

  • Participate in the Change Control Board, assessing any consequences of product changes.

  • Participate in external agency and regulatory audits.

  • Maintain existing certifications by monitoring changes in external regulations that may necessitate modifications to certifications.

  • Maintain product certifications throughout the product life cycle.

  • Work with the design team and the approval body, ensuring compliance during the specification phase.

  • Understand circuit schematics and possess knowledge of Industrial and Automotive levels.

  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC standards, including FCC, CE, UKCA, RMC.

  • Sign and maintain Declarations of Conformity of products.



You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.

  • Availability to travel internationally and go on-site.

  • Understand Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Frequency (RF) regulation.

  • Knowledge of standards like Health EN IEC 62311:2020 ; Safety EN IEC 62368-1:2020+A11:2020 ; EMC EN 55032:2015+A11:2020+A1:2020, EN 55035:2017+A11:2020 ; EMC EN 301 489-1 V2.2.3 ; Spectrum EN 303 413 V1.2.1, EN 301 511 V12.5.1 ; EN 301 908-1.

  • Good understanding of environmental testing covers areas such as Dust and water Ingress Protection (IP) and Impact protection (IK) rate testing, temperature and humidity testing, flame testing, battery charge and discharge performance, corrosion testing and many more.

  • Previous experience with wireless testing, compliance and certification services for products that include wireless technologies covering all major protocols including, but not limited to, Bluetooth, Cellular (GSM / EGPRS / UMTS / WCDMA / LTE / NB-IoT / LTE-M2M / Cat1Bis / 5G NR), Wi-Fi, RFID & NFC as well as Bluetooth® SIG.

  • Good understanding of EMC testing and certification services covering many regulatory requirements, including CE Marking for Europe, UKCA for the GB market, FCC for the US, ISED and Canada.

  • Knowledge of hazardous chemicals testing and materials regulated with protocols such as RoHS and REACH-SVHC.



Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry and or supporting hardware for vehicle telematics.
