What You’ll Get to Do

CACI is seeking a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect for an exciting opportunity to support our US Air Force Cloud One Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration contract. This position will require you to design and implement GCP-based cloud solutions, focusing on migrating and modernizing applications from on-premises environments to GCP Government Cloud. The ideal candidate will combine deep GCP expertise with a strong understanding of government cloud requirements, security protocols, and application modernization strategies. They should be able to architect scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions that meet both technical requirements and compliance standards.

More About the Role

•       Design and implement GCP architecture for application modernization and migration projects.

•       Develop and execute strategies for migrating on-premises applications to GCP Government Cloud.

•       Manage and optimize GCP resources, services, and tools in compliance with government regulations.

•       Architect automated solutions to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency.

•       Implement and maintain GCP-based infrastructure and software systems.

•       Coordinate with cross-functional teams for service upgrades and incident resolution in GCP environments.

•       Create and implement processes to measure system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

•       Work closely with stakeholders to review proposed changes and develop post-implementation verification routines.

•       Ensure compliance of GCP environments by collaborating with Information Assurance (IA) teams.

•       Stay current with GCP technologies and best practices for government implementations.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

•       BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

•       7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years focused on GCP.

•       Strong expertise in GCP services, including GCP Government Cloud offerings.

•       Experience with cloud migration strategies and application modernization.

•       Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).

•       Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, etc.).

•       Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

•       Experience with containerization and microservices architectures.

•       Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance requirements.

•       Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

•       Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent.

•       DoD IAT - Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

•       Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

•       Experience working in government cloud environments (e.g., GCP Government, AWS GovCloud).

•       Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and hybrid cloud solutions.

•       Experience supporting DoD Program Offices.

•       Knowledge of FedRAMP and DoD Cloud Computing SRG requirements.

•       Additional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure).

•       Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

•       Familiarity with AI/ML integration in cloud environments.

•       Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.

•       Knowledge of data analytics and big data technologies in GCP environments.
