Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Collections Specialist to collect payments on all outstanding invoices, assist in credit analysis, and record relevant communications. This is a customer facing role that requires strong communication skills. This is a remote position that requires someone based out of Virginia to support a team with hours from 9-5.

Responsibilities for the Collections Specialist include:

• Contact commercial and government accounts with open receivables and ensure payments meet the required dates
• Document correspondence, record cash receipt transactions,, and update collection notes
• Perform account reconciliation working with short pays, credit, and previous misapplications
• Maintain a clean ledger and ensure end goal of cleaning up aged accounts is met

Required Qualifications for the Collections Specialist include:

• 2-3+ years of experience with Collections
• Experience with contracts, payment advice, invoice updates, and invoice collections
• Experience with Accounts Receivable and Navision/Costpoint

Compensation for the Collections Specialist include:

• Salary: $50,000-60,000/year **depending on experience**
