Job Summary:

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Configuration Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team on a hybrid basis in Fairfax, VA. The Configuration Management SME will lead the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of a detailed configuration management plan. The ideal candidate will manage configuration management tools and processes across development, testing, and production environments.

Responsibilities of the Configuration Management SME:

•      Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive configuration management plan.

•      Administer and maintain configuration management tools and processes across development, test, and production environments.

•      Support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of program products.

•      Balance technical implementation of configuration management tools with process requirements and resource coordination.

•      Synthesize processes that span teams, coordinating inputs and outputs to capitalize on efficiencies.

•      Ensure compatibility between component versions and manage configuration of cloud-based environments using infrastructure as code and open-source technologies.

Qualifications for the Configuration Management SME:

•      8-10 years of experience in configuration and change management

•      3-5 years of experience working with in a federal environment

•      Experience leading a change management plan

•      Experience in identification and implementation of standard Configuration Management Control processes

•      Familiarity with Git and Ansible

•      Experience monitoring configuration drift

•      Experience with ALM solutions

Compensation for the Configuration Management SME:

•      Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 **depending on experience**
