About this Role

Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC. is a utility construction company. We install fiber optic cable for some of the top communication companies in NW and the Western regions. We specialize in the installation of fiber optics and renewable energy. We are a proud part of the Quanta Services Companies. 

Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC. is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill our Telecom Construction Manager position, work is based out of The Dalles location.

We will be servicing a majority of the PNW and NW with our current and upcoming contracts.

The\u202fTelecom Construction Manager\u202fwill oversee the operations of job site and its daily activities. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials. They will supervise the foreman and crews performing work at the job site. This position will be accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. This this position will also assist the Project Manager with successful completion of the job.

What You'll Do

THIS POSITION REQUIRES TRAVEL.

Responsibilities:\u202f 

All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weights of construction materials and equipment.\u202f 

• Maintain a strict build-out schedule and make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.\u202f
• Keep up to date project trackers.
• Perform inspection of job sites and individual work duties\u202f
• Build and maintain\u202fgood relationships with customers and venders.
• Perform quality control duties per job site.\u202f
• Participate in required supervisor meetings.\u202f
• Ensure that each team member is aware of quality and safety standards and company policies.\u202f
• Assist in training foreman and crew members.\u202f
• Create and maintain positive relationships with workers, customers, inspectors, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractor. 
• Coordinate with subcontractors and verify work is completed.\u202f
• Coordinate construction services and activities.\u202f
• Ensure job site safety is being met.\u202f
• Mediate disputes or complaints with third parties
• Maintain under billings to a minimum.
• Approve daily timecard submissions for foreman and crew members.\u202f
• TRAVEL IS A MUST

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

• Must have 3-5 years of telecom experience.
• 1 years of experience as a construction foreman\u202f
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.\u202f
• Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.\u202f
• A good driving record is required.\u202f
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.\u202f
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.\u202f
• Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.\u202f
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL

Preferred Qualifications:\u202f 

• Previous construction experience.
• Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction.\u202f
• TRAVEL IS A MUST

Working Conditions:\u202f 

This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.\u202f 

Physical Requirements:\u202f 

The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $70,000/Yr. - USD $90,000/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
