The Strategy and Transformation team holds a key role in defining Verizon Global Services strategy, enabling cross-functional transformation and service delivery, while supporting the V Team’s ability to adapt. What you’ll be doing...

In this role as a key member on the VGS Strategy team, you'll be managing programs around location strategy devised to deliver the right work from the right location . You'll be supporting VGS strategy by implementing the Baseline, guiding principles, governance structure & reporting frameworks. You will also be an integral part of the strategy execution and operations process from intake to execution and enablement as part of the location strategy operating model.

  • Understand the future operating model for Verizon Global Services and the priorities that drive the VGS strategy

  • Lead concept, scope definition, and execution of strategic and operational business transformation initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, reducing expenses, enhancing business efficiency, improving customer experience, and driving Verizon Global Services to become a best-in-class organization

  • Be responsible for the end to end demand management process (intake requisition to commencing ramp up)

  • Leverage critical thinking & sharp problem-solving skills (e.g., data-backed analysis, data science tools, hypothesis-driven approach, research & strategy frameworks) to support the design & execution of new solutions

  • Serve as an effective change agent utilizing stakeholder analysis and change management techniques

  • Understand business challenges and develop and prioritize solutions to make significant impacts to process, experience and cost savings

  • Craft and deliver actionable recommendations to C-Suite and other senior leadership through data-driven analysis, visualization for executive decision making, and concise storytelling

  • Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.

  • Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement

  • Manage large cross-functional projects by developing strategy, initiatives, work plans, timelines, and goals to ensure stakeholders and VGS delivers on commitments

  • Creating detailed financial models to support overall strategic planning, investment requests, and impact assessment

  • Understanding business challenges and develop and prioritize solutions to make significant impacts to process, experience and cost savings 

  • Collaborating with data scientists to build analytics solutions focused on embedding AI/ML into critical business decisions and processes to elevate value-creation and customer experience

  • Support others by providing real-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools

  • Create detailed financial models to support overall strategic planning, investment requests, and impact assessment

  • Structure and lead proof-of-concept and/or pilot engagements with technology and business partners

  • Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement

  • Manage large cross-functional projects by developing strategy, initiatives, work plans, timelines, and goals to ensure stakeholders and VGS delivers on commitments

Where you’ll be working..

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.

  • Experience in supporting growth stories of new teams - by managing the demand, setting up frameworks & processes to support growth

  • Experience with market research, bringing in outside in perspectives of best practices

  • Experience in creating program plans, and crafting presentations for senior executives. 

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable in working up and across the organization. 

  • Confidence to voice well-informed, dissenting opinions, yet always treat others and their views with respect

  • Experience in a role responsible for the design, development, and implementation of a strategic plan for an organization, company or business unit

  • Proven ability to manage complex programs and drive cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and influence co-workers while fostering strong working relationships

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects

  • Comfortable working across all levels of an organization, leveraging organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and time-management skills

  • Ability to translate complex ideas and express them in concise, simple to understand ways

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration/ Management studies

  • Broad financial acumen including knowledge of valuation methodologies and ability to develop financial models

  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills in combination with experience in SQL, scripting/statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.) and visualization software tools

  • Understanding of advanced statistical methods, machine learning principles and cloud architecture
