What you’ll be doing...

You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You’ll design learning solutions that are engaging, fun, and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the Verizon of the future.
  • Creating innovative learning solutions for sales, products, customer service, and employee development.
  • Resourcing learning initiatives with internal and external training experts.
  • Evaluating program efficiency and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Managing the archive of learning programs and materials.
  • Developing learning content for all workgroups within VCG Sales channels.
  • Leveraging a variety of training modalities including eLearning, Performance Support, and Virtual Instructor Led.
  • Supporting new hire, continuing education, and career progression development.
  • Identifying synergy for related content across all VCG channels.
  • Designing pre and post-class activities to promote optimal learning.
  • Facilitating/delivering content as part of the program pilot process.
  • Managing trainer readiness processes for instructor-led programs.
  • Exploring alternative deliverable types including micro-learning, video, and reinforcement to engage the modern learner and drive retention.
  • Evaluating learning effectiveness by conducting measurement studies post-training.
This is a homebased position and can sit anywhere within the US.

You’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • One or more years of experience in design of adult learning experiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles.
  • A Master’s degree or complimentary certificates (CTT+, CRP).
  • Consulted with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Managed projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality.
  • Two or more years of training delivery and facilitation experience.
  • Leadership experience in any wireless or wireline channel as well as any Service or Sales channels.
  • Strong working knowledge of Verizon systems, resources, and processes.
  • Experience with Studio/Edge, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop, and virtual delivery.
  • Experience working in an Agile project management workflow.
  • Successful completion of the following programs or equivalent: TEACH, Experiential Facilitation Techniques, The Verizon Virtual Trainer.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $74,000.00 and $150,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
