Purpose of Position:

We are currently in search of a highly motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer who will be responsible for driving the improvement of manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate will utilize lean manufacturing principles and other advanced improvement concepts to optimize operational efficiency. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness within an organization. This role involves using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • . Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Lean & Six Sigma Implementation: Utilize methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and interpret data to measure process performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • . Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (production, quality, supply chain, etc.) to implement process improvements.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to execution.
  • Training & Development: Educate employees on best practices, process improvements, and lean methodologies.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure continuous enhancement of processes.
  • Automation & Technology Integration: Identify opportunities to implement automation and digital solutions for process efficiency.
  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies to reduce waste, improve resource utilization, and lower operational costs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with operations to enable cost savings and product quality improvement.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Excellent project management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with products through the full product lifecycle.
  • Background in product development/manufacturing process.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience with Manufacturing scale up processes.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
