Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking multiple Top Secret/SCI Cleared Acquisitions Specialists with backgrounds in National Security Space to join our SETA team in El Segundo, California. For this effort we are providing support technical advisory services to the United States Space Force's Space Systems Command and Space Operations.

Program Overview:

In this effort, you will be a part of a specialized team supporting Government weapon systems program offices with systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government throughout the full lifecycle of systems acquisition processes that enable in most instances, rapid fielding to meet warfighter needs. The goal is to provide new technological implementation/delivery that will aid in the effort to maintain space superiority with unmatched warfighting capabilities while disrupting adversaries in the contested space domain.

General Requirements:

  •  Must have an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI upgrade, for Special Programs
  •   Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent business-related discipline and 8+ or more years in government acquisitions and program management and/or Contracts management within the Department of Defense.
  • Prior experience in Planning, Programing, Budget and Execution process
  •   Strong experience in providing advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution. 
  • Able to develop, draft, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework, and relevant DoD, AF, and local unit policies that pertain to rapid prototyping.

Desired Skills: 

  • Master’s degree in business management, technical management, and/or engineering. 
  •  Professional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP). 
  •  Experience in the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area.

Compensation:

  •  Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 (compensation varies on position and relevant years of experience and education)
  •  Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k, 20 days paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave as required by law
