Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to perform an array of loan servicing activities for commercial real estate loans, corporate loans, syndicated loans, and club participation loans. Conducts frequent trouble-shooting of moderate to complex issues that require evaluation, originality, and critical thinking to apply the appropriate procedures, processes and techniques. Works closely with Corporate Loan Servicers, Corporate Loan Specialists, Team Leads, Trade Administrator, and Supervisor to ensure established processing timeframes are met and the department remains fully compliant with all rules/regulations instituted by the firm and various regulatory bodies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Fundamental accounting concepts, practices and procedures of loan processing and documentation.
Accrual-based accounting practices.
Multi-state commercial and retail loan servicing practices.
Commercial loan structuring and Corporate loan participations and syndications
Corporate and Commercial credit agreements, loan closing process and procedures, lending policies, compliance, and lending regulations.
Federal and State lending laws.
Loan servicing software packages
Skill in
Reviewing and interpreting commercial loan terms and documentation.
Verifying supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Gathering and compiling information into and from records and reports.
Identifying and resolving unusual transactions, interest accounting discrepancies and regulatory discrepancies.
Preparing spreadsheets and creating formulas.
Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to

Make moderately complex decisions.
Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from legal loan documents.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
