Job Description

Corporate Treasury plays central role in the firm’s overall strategy with responsibility for providing appropriate funding to support all firmwide activity while maximizing net interest income. The division allocates financial resources, raises funding and capital to support firm activity, and dynamically manages the firm’s asset liability risk and liquidity portfolio. Corporate Treasury actively engages in public markets and with businesses across the firm, investors, ratings agencies and regulators. The Divisional Risk team is a unique opportunity for individuals with strong ethics and attention to detail to execute strategic initiatives across Corporate Treasury. The team is responsible for supporting the management of EMEA entities, coordinating regulatory policy on behalf of EMEA division and managing the division’s interactions with EMEA regulators, with a particular focus on Goldman Sachs Bank Europe. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Key liaison on matters relating to the regulator engagement and deliverables for the Corporate Treasury Division for EMEA regulatory entities, with a focus on GSBE, including: 
    • Coordinate frequent regulator meetings and ad-hoc EMEA regulatory enquiries, including preparing materials and talking points as needed 
    • Work with broader divisions to facilitate the input to cross-divisional regulatory deliverables on behalf of Corporate Treasury 
    • Lead and coordinate the review and update of key Corporate Treasury regulatory policies, standards, and procedures (includes contribution to ILAAP, Contingency Funding Planning and Recovery Planning)
    • Present to Committees and Boards on key regulatory and risk-related initiatives and policies 
    • Monitor, react and respond to new risks and regulatory guidance that impact Corporate Treasury in EMEA
    • Assist in other regulatory and risk related matters as needed, including briefing material, talking points, material preparation, etc.
    • Contribute to regulatory advocacy efforts related to funding, liquidity and other risks managed by Corporate Treasury 
    • Establish and maintain relationships with regulators and cross divisional stakeholders 
    • Work closely with global Treasury Regulatory team members to share best practices and understands regulatory landscape in other region

Required skills:

  • Experience with regulatory/auditory asks and deep understanding of their scope and objectives
  • Project management skills (detailed planning and progress tracking)

Advantageous skills:

  • Familiarity with EMEA liquidity-related policies and regulations, including German local liquidity rules 
  • German speaker
