Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division is looking for an Engineering Leader of the Siemens 8000H and Mitsubishi 501G combustion turbine technology, reporting up to the Combustion Turbine Fleet Team (CTFT) manager in Engineering and Operations Support Services (EOSS). This position will include responsibilities for leading daily work activities, with ownership of, reliability, troubleshooting, and work/outage planning.  

Responsibilities:

• The Engineering Leader of the Siemens 8000H and Mitsubishi 501G combustion turbine technology will own and be accountable for the following key responsibilities:
• Provide technical oversight and guidance for trouble shooting and technical decision making, ensuring consistency across the Siemens 8000H and Mitsubishi 501G, both combined cycle and simple cycle turbines
• Manage documentation and currency of Engineering Requests, Work Orders, OEM Bulletins and change management in our work management system, Maximo.
• Support proactive outage planning and annual budget planning, ensuring that plans account for Siemens 8000H and Mitsubishi 501G fleet lessons learned.

   

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of combustion turbine engineering experience
• Strong communications/presentation skills
• Demonstrated field experience
• Six Sigma certification

•  Bachelor's - Engineering

•  Experience: 7+ years

Preferred Qualifications

•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)

•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

•  Master's Degree

•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
