Position Title: Cyber Tools Test Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX – Onsite 5x a week

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI

Position Summary: As a Cyber Tool Test Engineer, you will lead senior-level engineering services and provide technical leadership in test engineering for our US Government clients. This role focuses on testing and evaluating cyber tools and solutions, particularly in Offensive Cyber Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software solutions supporting Cyber Operations across defensive and offensive platforms.
  • Conduct research, development, test, and evaluation of test automation for all phases of testing.
  • Create test and evaluation plans, test cases, and reports following established operational processes.
  • Develop and modify test automation using industry tools for systems and applications software.
  • Perform functional, interoperability, and integration testing across OSI model layers.
  • Collaborate with customers, test engineers, and range engineers to ensure testing infrastructure supports objectives and use-case requirements.
  • Analyze test data to assess capability and functional compliance with requirements.
  • Recommend enhancements to capabilities and functions based on testing outcomes.
  • Actively participate in Agile team planning and execution of tests.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other test engineers.
  • Work with clients, stakeholders, and partner engineers to develop customer testing and test automation solutions.

 Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience; candidates with a Master's degree require a minimum of 5 years.
  • Proficiency in Functional Black Box Test Engineering within technical domains relevant to Cyber Capability Development (Networking, Operating System Design and Administration, DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience applying Functional Test strategies in Agile product delivery environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills and proactive attitude towards knowledge sharing and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based command line, Bash, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps/DevSecOps infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of test automation tools such as Jenkins, Robot Framework, and Selenium.
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, OSI Model, and network traffic analysis.
  • Familiarity with Open Source, cloud, virtualization, and microservices technologies.
  • Programming and scripting skills are desirable.
  • Prior experience as a Cyber Operator (Red Team, CNO, CNE, or OCO) preferred (e.g., RIOT, Forge, Basic Operator Course (BOC)).
