Job Summary:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor to join a growing team in Washington, D.C. on a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site.) The Cybersecurity Advisor will conduct thorough evaluations of cybersecurity practices and strategies to protect critical information systems and data. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, suggesting improvements, and translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights for government stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Advisor:

  • Perform detailed reviews of cybersecurity assessments carried out by other government contractors.
  • Assess assessment reports to pinpoint areas of strength and potential weaknesses or gaps.
  • Offer expert analysis on the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.
  • Review and provide guidance on the strategic use of cybersecurity assets.
  • Develop informed recommendations to safeguard information systems and data.
  • Work with project teams to ensure cybersecurity measures are in line with organizational objectives.
  • Create clear and concise written assessments for stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Advisor:

  • 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise in cybersecurity practices, controls, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex security details and communicate their significance.
  • Knowledge of international business practices
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborative setting.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Specialized knowledge in security incident management, threat intelligence, and continuous monitoring.
  • Familiarity with federal risk and compliance regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to read, analyze, create, and interpret common information systems security documents.
  • Must hold a Secret level security clearance

Compensation of the Cybersecurity Advisor

  • Salary Range: $165,000-$175,000
  • Benefit Package: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k etc.
  • Hybrid structure (3 days on-site/week)
