Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Department of Treasury in Washington DC as they build out security inside a specific branch of the department. This position will start out on-site in Washington DC - once the candidate is up to speed they are able to work in a hybrid setting from home 2/3 times per week. This position can hold any level of clearance, however the selected candidate will obtain a Public Trust specific to the agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes information security plans and policies
  • Develop strategies and procedures to respond to, recover, and investigate security breach(es)
  • Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threats
  • Installs, configures, and updates firewalls, data encryption, and other security products to facilitate a secure posture
  • Conduct periodic network scans to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches through the use of software that detects intrusions and anomalous system behavior
  • Penetration testing experience (burp suite)
  • Threat hunting experience (threat intelligence analysis), UBA

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relative experience
  • Experience with Splunk, Penetration testing experience, and experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto)
  • Able to obtain Public Trust Clearance

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $112,000 *depending on experience*
