Job Description:

The Opportunity:

The DADMS and NAV-ITAS Representative is responsible for managing the Department of the Navy's (DON) Applications and Database Management System (DADMS) and Navy Information Technology Approval System (NAV-ITAS) for the Department. This includes ensuring that all IT procurement requests comply with Department of Defense (DoD) and DON statutory and regulatory requirements and providing enterprise visibility into the procurement acquisition of IT assets and total cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the DADMS and NAV-ITAS systems, including tracking IT-related acquisition procurement requests, ensuring compliance with DoD and DON requirements, and maintaining a standardized and repeatable process for Navy decision-makers.

  • Provide guidance and support to Echelon II (EII) and the commands on DADMS and NAV-ITAS policies and procedures below, ensuring that IT procurement requests meet capabilities/mission requirements and cost controls.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Department to ensure that IT procurement requests align with the Department's strategic goals and objectives. Develop relationships with industry partners and vendors to stay informed about the latest IT trends and technologies.

  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on DADMS and NAV-ITAS performance, including metrics related to IT procurement requests, compliance with regulatory requirements, and cost controls.

  • Continuously improve DADMS and NAV-ITAS processes and procedures, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and industry partners.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer information systems, or a related field.

  • At least (5)five years of experience in IT procurement, including experience with DADMS, NAV-ITAS, or similar IT approval systems.

  • Knowledge of DoD and DON statutory and regulatory requirements related to IT procurement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to manage complex IT procurement requests and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and industry partners.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Navy culture and processes, with a solid commitment to the Navy's mission and values.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
