Job Description:

The Opportunity:

The Data Analyst supports CACI contracted taskings for Ship Repair Facility – Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC). You will provide data collection, validation, cleansing, and transformation services for SRF-JRMC command reports. You will partner with stakeholders to discover primary and secondary data sources, organize and prepare relevant and accurate command reports, and coordinate with reporting needs up the chain of command. You will build data dashboards and automated data processing pipelines using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Power Automate, and other Navy software tools. You will interact with all levels of SRF-JRMC personnel, including senior leadership, to gather technical requirements and present product demonstrations for approval and production use.

Responsibilities:

• Directly impact the organizational visibility and transparency of our customer by engineering high-quality data pipelines and reports for senior leadership.
• Collaboratively identify source datasets and refine them appropriately for use in command-level reports.
• Coordinate with diverse teams to promote the best fit-for-use data sources, assess their quality level, and perform any necessary data transformations and enrichments.
• Deliver regular status and findings reports to command staff that capture the actions, progress, and way-forward recommendations.
• Exercise strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Candidate should be able to project confidence in their work products and deliver insights directly to senior leadership.
• Work is at the customer site, embedded in the Shipyard industrial environment, to ensure customer needs are being met.

Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with a Shipyard office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work is in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Candidate must live in the commuting area and/or be willing to relocate to Yokosuka, Japan.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DoD Secret security clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Power Query, Power BI and Tableau, as well as experience working in a Naval Maintenance or Shipyard environment with U.S. Navy enterprise ship maintenance systems, such as AIM or NMD.

Desired:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelors and/or advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or other related technical field.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $123,800
