POSITION SUMMARY: Beusa Energy is undergoing a major ERP transformation, and strong data governance is critical to its success. The Data Governance Manager will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organization, particularly within our Oracle Fusion ERP implementation.

This position will drive the development and execution of data governance strategies, ensuring master data management (MDM), procure-to-pay (P2P) governance, financial reporting integrity, and compliance. By defining clear data ownership, enforcing policies, and driving automation, this role will enable accurate reporting, improved decision-making, and streamlined business operations.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven finance or IT professional with deep expertise in ERP systems, MDM, data governance, and financial processes. This role requires technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration, making it instrumental in shaping Beusa Energy’s long-term data strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'may.')
- Master Data Management (MDM): Define and enforce data governance policies for Chart of Accounts, Vendors, Customers, Products, Fixed Assets, and Procurement Data, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- ERP Data Governance: Lead data migration, validation, and integration strategies for Oracle Fusion ERP, aligning with financial and operational reporting needs.
- P2P & Vendor Data Oversight: Standardize vendor onboarding, PO data accuracy, invoice matching, and payment terms compliance, improving spend visibility and procurement efficiency.
- Financial Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure alignment between ERP data, financial close processes, and external reporting requirements, reducing errors and enhancing audit readiness.
- Intercompany & Cost Allocation Governance: Oversee entity-level transactions, eliminations, cost allocations, and contract data tracking to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Process Automation & Optimization: Partner with Data & Analytics teams to enhance self-service reporting, dashboards, and automation.
- Training & Change Management: Develop and implement training programs to foster a data-driven culture, ensuring cross-functional teams understand governance best practices.
- Lead Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement the enterprise-wide data governance framework to support data quality, security, and compliance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Align data analysts, data owners, and data migration teams to ensure consistency and data integrity across various initiatives.
- Data Policy Enforcement: Monitor adherence to internal data policies and external regulations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep knowledge of MDM, ERP data governance, and financial processes (Oracle Fusion experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts structures, vendor/customer master data, procurement governance, and financial reporting controls.
- Experience in managing data architecture, automation, and analytics initiatives within a corporate finance environment.
- Familiarity with BI tools, data integration strategies, and process automation.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset, capable of challenging outdated processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or relevant data governance certifications preferred, but not required
- Experience: 10+ years in accounting, finance, or IT, with a focus on data governance and ERP systems

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. The Data Governance Manager works primarily indoors and will be sitting prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. The Data Governance Manager may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Data Governance Manager must be able to lift 25lbs.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination, depending on job demands.
