The Opportunity:

  • Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage, retrieval, data flow and analysis
  • Develop relational and/or object-oriented databases, database parsing software, and database loading export/import software
  • Support life-cycle database development and maintenance requirements through initial development, test, deployment, and operations and maintenance
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement and maintain databases over distributed networks over virtual and cloud networks and support related protocols for various systems
  • Test database components for adherence to the user requirements
  • Assist with analysis for system improvements, optimization, and data recover
  • Create ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros to create reports and to extract and import data
  • Adhere and support Agile process based development

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 to 8 years of experience or Masters plus 3 to 5 years of experience in database engineering
  • Experience with traditional Agile, and DevOps development practices and associated testing strategies, including test-driven development

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience with but not limited to Red Hat, Jenkins, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee or GitHub/GitLab, Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript, and AWS, C2S, and data center operations
  • NGA experience, with specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), CORE and NGA Cloud environments (XC, UC, SC, TC

  • Demonstrated knowledge of NGA security procedures

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
