Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a Joint United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Navy (USN) research & development program in Chantilly, Virginia. The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) is responsible for contract proposals as well as program support and compliance, and plays an integral role in the continued growth, development and profitability of the company. The DPM prepares price models; manages vendor contracts; and tracks procurement activities to ensure that Statement of Work (SOW) requirements are achieved. The portfolio the DPM will be supporting is a hypersonic weapon system.

Location: Chantilly, Virginia

Responsibilities for the DPM:

  • Supports program management team in driving project portfolio execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, operating income and cash flow
  • Assists with proposal development and monitoring, including pricing and ongoing support
  • Monitors program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications and statement of work performance requirements, schedules and cost commitments
  • Prepares price models, contract proposals and modifications
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis deliverables to company management
  • Oversees vendor contracts and renewals
  • Generates purchase requisitions, and tracks procurement activities including receiving, invoices, and validating project codes
  • Contributes to achievement of company goals and operating plans with direct impact on results
  • Responsible for participating in special projects that are integral to programs

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
  • 15+ years of experience in project management, systems engineering, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Experience with government and commercial acquisition processes, and basic contracts management
  • Experience with program or project management supporting U.S. Government contracts involving information systems development, deployment, and operations & maintenance
  • Experience with hypersonic systems and prototyping projects
  • Certification: Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred

Compensation:

  • Pay range: $180,000 - $195,000
