As a Director in the Global CIO Business Technology team, you will be responsible for leading the CIO Business Portfolio Operations team with end to end responsibility for the organizational budget, intake & demand, resourcing and global operating model. Responsibilities include managing the day to day operations, overall program and budget health and visible executive leadership.
You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Partnering with Business Transformation, Product and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to manage Capital & Expense Planning for the VBG CIO organization
Facilitating project intake/readiness, including planning for on time delivery to enable business benefits
Enabling efficient planning and resource management based upon demand intake on quarterly basis.
Managing, communicating and measuring the VBG CIO Global Operating Model, in parallel with x-CIO partnership, efficiency and delivery excellence
Coordinating cross CIO budgets including Verizon India, VCG. CSG, AI&D and Network Systems
Being responsible for timely submission and approvals of the Data Processing (DP) PAR/CAR (contract authorization sourcing requests) Management
Developing and maintaining status capital and expense budgets spanning all resource types (employee, contract labor, statements of work, etc.) for the VBG organization (SVP/VP level)
Being responsible for project start and completion based upon planning model, including overall program and budget health
Organizing, bridging and measuring Global delivery model plans for data processing expense, statement of work, temporary labor and outsourced functions data.
Monitoring spend to budgets, identify potential deviations requiring leadership review; escalate as necessary to ensure on-target spend. Analyze reports and operation results, and develop action plans designed to increase productivity and operations efficiency.
Driving, planning and executing the VBG organization in planning exercises for ongoing and future year budget cycles.
Building, coaching and mentoring a team to deliver high quality financial models and support.
Managing daily executive interaction including written and verbal communication and leadership visibility.
Being responsible for executive level reporting daily/weekly/monthly, documentation and quarterly operations reviews.
Partnering with the delivery teams to utilize emerging technologies to streamline the program delivery, capital and expense management processes
Collaborating with cross functional teams to facilitate and support the evolution of how we work, including impacts to global delivery and operating model
Working and partnering with the Vendor Management team to manage the Infosys Engagement and ensure compliance with ADM requirements
Partnering with business units to establish common goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision set by Senior Leadership and execute on these goals.
Build high performing relationships with peers from Technology Solutions, Architecture, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Business, Information Security Officer, and Vendors for success.
Create strategic solutions and present effectively to a diverse audience; manage stakeholders.
Manage teams in both direct and matrix structures; manage multi-skilled global employees and contractors.
Decision Making Authority: Act with relative independence in area of responsibility; responsible for managing budget and/or staff within subfunction(s).
Work Complexity: Develop policies & procedures for assigned subfunction(s); tasks are multiple and diverse; work requires interpretation to ensure appropriate application. Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques & evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
What we're looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience with budget planning including leadership and management.
Experience driving operational and financial management and reporting, ability to design and solve for metrics across quality, productivity, user experience, innovation and cost.
Even better if you one or more of the following:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or related disciplines.
Ability to meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Demonstrated experience in partnering with Business and IT teams at multiple levels to drive alignment and delivery of complex problems.
Experience in project management with ability to track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
Experience in the current VBG GTS org, with advanced time management and analytical skills.
Experience with vendor management.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong executive presentation skills to C-level and below.
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, demanding, customer and team-oriented work environment.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with leaders across the organization
Possess good interpersonal, influencing, and team building skills and must have demonstrated experience in strategic cross team collaboration to drive alignment and delivery of complex problems.
Able to be proactive, effective, versatile and action-oriented, having a “whatever it takes” attitude
Able to present to C-Level and below.
Ability to pinpoint high level priorities and communicate high level details
Understanding of systems architecture and relevant technologies.
