Job Description Summary:
PayPal is evolving from a platform centered around utility to one that inspires daily discovery and engagement. We are seeking a visionary Director of App Feed to lead the transformation of our app into a dynamic, engaging destination where users discover new opportunities, products, and experiences every day.As the Director of App Feed, you will define and deliver the strategy for PayPal’s in-app feed, creating a personalized, engaging, and intuitive space that integrates content, commerce, and community. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in driving user engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define the vision and roadmap for the App Feed, positioning it as a key driver of daily user engagement and discovery.
Identify innovative ways to integrate relevant content, personalized recommendations, and interactive experiences into the feed.
Experience Development:
Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of the App Feed.
Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to craft an engaging, intuitive, and seamless user experience.
Leverage data-driven insights to continuously optimize feed content, layout, and performance.
Content and Personalization:
Work closely with data science teams to build advanced recommendation algorithms that deliver highly personalized user experiences.
Collaborate with content and partner teams to curate diverse, relevant, and impactful content for the feed.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
Mentor and develop talent, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, partnerships, and business teams to align feed content with broader business goals and initiatives.
Work closely with backend, data, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
Metrics and Impact:
Define and monitor success metrics, such as engagement rates, session frequency, and content discovery impact.
Use A/B testing and analytics to refine the feed and maximize its effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years of experience in product management, software engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of building and scaling personalized, content-driven consumer experiences.
Expertise in driving engagement and retention through feed-based or discovery-oriented products.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of mobile app development, content delivery systems, and personalization technologies.
Familiarity with recommendation algorithms, A/B testing frameworks, and analytics tools.
Leadership Skills:
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for inspiring and developing diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or a high-growth consumer tech company.
Familiarity with machine learning models for content recommendations.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Product Management, or a related field.
