Full Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a growing team with a highly credible prime contractor, in support of a government agency. This position will be fully on-site, in San Diego, CA.

 

Responsibilities/Overview:

•        Responsible for complex electrical design calculations and drawing development for the construction, maintenance, and repair of maritime vessels and shipboard systems

•        Ensuring vessel design is in compliance with relevant regulatory authorities, specifications and customer requirements.

•        Responsible for the technical management of design and analyses projects from concept to completion.

•        Reviews drawings for compliance, accuracy and ease of production.

•        Liaise with production and provide technical support during construction.

•        Works with production and project teams to successfully implement vessel and vessel component designs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in the manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding industry required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent written and oral skills, ability to help grow company culture.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Experience in ship construction and design.
  • Working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (ABS, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, etc.)
  • Must be U.S. Citizen

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $75,000-$150,000+ (Dependent on Skill and Experience)
