The Opportunity:
GROUPER is an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) RDT&E (Research, Development, Test and Evaluation) contract with the United States Space Force.
Focus on creating systems to support Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) through the development, test, and deployment of large aperture antenna systems and the mission processing to support Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a background in Electrical, Aerospace, RF engineering Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology supporting critical Space Force missions Involvement in the full lifecycle of antenna systems, from design to test to global deployment Contribute to enhancing national security through advanced SIGINT capabilitiesResponsibilities:
Full life-cycle design of large aperture antenna systems from initial requirements to customer acceptance Work on mechanical designs that incorporate RF components, electrical sub-systems, PCB's, cabling, etc. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of system prototypes to ensure functionality and performance Develop and present design reviews to internal teams and stakeholders, clearly communicating technical concepts Participate in on-site system installations, providing technical expertise during deployment Conduct thorough factory and site acceptance testing to ensure system quality and performanceQualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university 8+ years of experience in hardware engineering, preferably in consumer electronics, telecommunications, or related industries Proficiency in CAD tools (any platform) and the ability to make high quality engineer drawings for manufacturing and assembly Hands-on assembly and fabrication skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems quickly Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Must have Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearanceDesired:
Master's degree in a relevant engineering field 10+ years of experience in Electromechanical engineering for SIGINT or related defense projects Experience with active and passive thermal management and mechanical design considerations Experience with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CE, UL) Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and tools (CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing) Experience with designing hardware with EMI/EMC constraints Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical teams-________________________________________________________________________________________

$102,900 - $216,200
