General Summary:
Responsibilities:
• Gathers, integrates, and interprets information across sub-systems from a variety of sources in order to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.
• Serves as a technical expert within area of focus.
• Identifies gaps in design, effort, etc., and closes the gaps.
• Identifies risks associated with designs, approaches, and other work efforts.
• Collaborates with others inside and outside of project team to accomplish project objectives. • Solves complex technical problems that affect significant areas of product.
• Makes decisions based on incomplete, contradictory, and ambiguous requirements and information that affect policies and multiple teams in the software development process. • Manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for larger projects. • Acts as a tech lead on projects and owns the outcome of the project.
• Leads others with technical credibility. Level of Responsibility:
• Working independently with little supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, and 7+ years experience in:
- Programming in C/C++
- Operating Systems and multi-threaded programming
- Hardware drivers
- Developing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing for embedded real-time environments.
- Inter-processor communications
- Computer architecture
- Multimedia software development experience on Android, Windows or Linux
- Shell/Python scripting
- Windows driver development using Windows Driver Frameworks (KMDF & UMDF) & Driver Module Framework
- Microsoft Compute Driver Model (MCDM) (or) Windows Display Driver Model(WDDM) miniport & user mode driver development. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Architect, design and develop multimedia frameworks across the processors available on the SoC. • Develop high-performance system drivers for compute resources.
- Work closely with our global team to integrate, test, and commercially support our embedded software.
- Offsite and occasional onsite work with OEMs and Independent Software Vendors may be required • Additional Job Description Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 1+ years of experience with Database Management Software.
- 1+ years of experience with API.
- 1+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
