As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will design, develop, create, and modify test cases and validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

This is a Test Engineer position within QCT’s Core Platform Test Team. In this role the candidate will be responsible for testing core SW drivers/features for Qualcomm’s DSP RTOS, ARM System Memory Management , virtualization features and Core Software infrastructure like Diag, QDSS, QMI, SMEM, GLINK, USB , Storage drivers for IOT products. The team supports commercialization of drivers on Qualcomm chip sets through a combination of API/driver testing (white-box) and feature end to end system testing (black-box). The team contributes to testing throughout the life-cycle, including unit, integration, and system level testing.

The role involves a good mix of hands-on testing of the products and SW development of test cases and automation using a combination of C, Python, and Perl. Candidate will be responsible for development of test plans and automated test cases for new features

Job Positions for 1 to 2 years  of work experience on Embedded software testing and/or test automation.                                                                                                                                                                                

Responsibilities
Test Engineers will be responsible for developing SW test drivers and/or test automation which may include some of the following responsibilities:

• Strong Linux knowledge and User space
• Proficiency in programming skills (Python, C).
• Strong RTOS knowledge and experience (Mutex, spinlocks, Queues, Signaling, Events, Deferred function calls & Callbacks, Multi-thread & Multi-process environments, Concurrency Scenarios etc.,), Linux Knowledge, Kernel & User Space knowledge

• Solid knowledge on SW Quality, ARM architecture, Linux, RTOS & WP OS, programming.

• Familiar with Qualcomm’s Core Software infrastructure e.g. Glink, QDSS, Diag, USB, Storage etc.
• Good debugging skills. Able to understand various kinds of debug logs and trouble shoot the issue.

• Should be an excellent teammate, with passion towards new trends/technology.
• Ability to self-manage, show leadership, good analytical skill and communicate well.
• Experience to use Configuration Management tools (Git, Perforce, Code Collab) and Agile scrum tools (JIRA, Orbit).
• Excellent data analysis skills and demonstrated ability in solving complex issues involving multiple software or hardware components.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic environment.
• Exposure to pre-silicon hardware simulators and emulators is a plus
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial
• Experience on Yocto is a plus
