THE TEAM AND THE JOB
The Engineering Vendor Program Office (EVPO) performs governance functions managing operational efficiency and aligns engineering spend to the firm’s OneGS strategy. It is a mechanism to eliminate duplication across organization, avoid cost, facilitate the selection and maintenance of the best solution, and optimize the process of building consensus. Streamline and expedite product selection process throughout the firm, enabling engineering and product teams to evaluate solutions within established guidelines, thereby enhancing transparency in the Engineering leadership decision making. EVPOs core capability is to review and approve product selection, drive process improvement initiatives for vendor engagement, monitor demand for engineering capabilities and build traceability into decisions. The key stakeholders who benefit from EVPOs service offerings are (i) engineers and product owners who implement functionalities offered by external Technology companies, (ii) sales relationship owners (primarily concentrated in IBD, AMD and PWM), (iii) senior leaders (Engineering and EO) who meet with Technology companies, (iv) functions related to vendor lifecycle, specifically technology risk, third party risk, strategic sourcing, (v) compliance and (vi) technology companies and venture capital portfolio companies who wish to engage with the firm.
As an EVPO team member you will help facilitate and accelerate product selection across the firm. This will allow Engineering and Markets Teams to evaluate solutions under structured guidelines providing greater transparency into decision making by Engineering leadership team.
