Job Summary and Responsibilities

Goldman Sachs is looking for talented MQ Engineers to join Goldman’s mission-critical enterprise messaging engineering team. You will be doing hands-on engineering, writing automation to enhance this critical technology with a focus on functional correctness, message durability, system security, and more. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in designing, deploying, and operating production-grade IBM MQ infrastructure across multiple enterprise use cases.
• Experience in Basic and Advanced IBM MQ concepts.
• Experience in configuring, upgrading and maintaining IBM MQ Queue Managers.
• Demonstrable experience in basic UNIX and Networking concepts.
• Demonstrable experience in analyzing and resolving production issues.
• Demonstrable experience in developing effective monitoring solutions, automation and procedures to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Demonstrable experience in providing technical guidance on established messaging infrastructure to application owners.
• Demonstrable experience in managing complex requirements and defining a clear delivery roadmap to stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of security protocols used on the Internet and in Enterprise (TLS, Kerberos, OIDC/OAuth)
• Experience with JMS specifications.
• Experience with Elastic Search, BigQuery, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with multiple Enterprise Messaging products (Kafka, Tibco EMS, RabbitMQ or others )
