About this Role

The Engineering Supervisor will provide engineering and operational oversight.  This position requires knowledge of NESC standards and pole loading analysis.   Responsible for team building, engineering review, process development, project schedules and client interface.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables
  • Ensure compliance by being abreast of codes and standards such as NESC and FCC guidelines.
  • Understanding pole loading analysis and industry software such as OCalc, SPIDAcalc or Pole Foreman.
  • Plan/coordinate pole loading from field data collection through make-ready estimating.
  • Direct/supervise junior engineers and technicians.
  • Additional duties as needed and/or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of various standards of codes
  • Ability to make good business and financial judgements and quick decisions
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles, including understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good judgement and analytical skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • General computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 5 Years of Industry Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous extensive experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

  • Professional Engineer License
