As a Software Developer, you will work on a suite of application systems geared to support users within several internal departments in processing CPQ functionalities, including sales pricing and contracting. As a key member of the transformation programs, you will design and implement highly scalable, highly available applications for Verizon.
Responsibilities include
Coding, validating and implementing software solutions.
Gaining knowledge of the existing system architecture and flow and contribute to the application development.
Understanding and implement nonfunctional requirements such as performance tuning, infrastructure uplifts, etc.
Understanding and present functional background and KPIs on a release basis
Embracing DevOps 100% and ensure good operational metrics with SonarQube issues, Unit Test case coverage, Code Review, Security Vulnerabilities, and Regression Automation
Delivering Technical Initiatives independently
Learning and Collaborate with Architect SME on threat modeling for new development.
Partnering with QA team to address the identified defects on time.
Learning and adopt new concepts & technologies quickly and implement them effectively in projects
Owning and drive a module within the project by working with distributed teams.
Working effectively under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
Bringing in innovative ideas that will improve the user experience and reduce manual work involved.

What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more year of work experience
Good Hands on Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Hibernate, Oracle/SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript.
Strong knowledge and coding experience in Java 8, Spring Boot, Microservices
Exposure to DevOps technologies like GIT, Jenkins, Logstash, Kibana, etc
Experience in full project life cycle implementation.
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to translate business needs into technical terms, and problem solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet critical deadlines.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology / Computer Applications
Exposure to the Telecom domain especially in Pricing & Contracting functionalities
Strong understanding of secure code by design and application security
Exposure to emerging technologies like NLP, AI, RPA, Bots, etc.
Good to have hands-on experience with building responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React
Exposure to Cloud concepts(AWS or OCI), DevOps tools and techniques.
